This is a complete, pre-matched UNV security system — cameras, recorder, and storage — verified compatible, tested together, and ready to install. Every component is sourced from a single ecosystem: Uniview IP cameras paired with Uniview NVRs and a WD Purple surveillance-grade hard drive. No compatibility guesswork. No hunting down separate components. Plug the cameras into the NVR’s built-in PoE ports, connect one cable to your router, and your system is live.

Each kit ships with UNV IPC3614LB-AF28K-DL ColorHunter turret cameras — dual-light cameras that see in full color in complete darkness. The warm white illuminators flood the scene up to 30 meters in vivid color, capturing clothing colors, vehicle shades, and facial details that standard IR-only cameras render in black and white. The matched UNV NVR handles recording, playback, remote access, and smart analytics right out of the box. The WD Purple HDD is purpose-built for always-on surveillance write cycles — not a consumer drive repurposed for security use.

Camera — IPC3614LB-AF28K-DL (ColorHunter)

Each kit includes this camera model across all channel variations. The IPC3614LB-AF28K-DL is a ColorHunter dual-light turret from Uniview’s EasyBasic Series, delivering full-color night vision via 850nm IR and warm white light illumination, each reaching 30 meters. The 2.8mm F1.6 fixed lens provides 95.1° horizontal coverage — wide enough to cover entryways, parking areas, and storefronts from a single mounting point. Smart IR auto-adjusts intensity to prevent overexposure as subjects approach. Built-in microphone records ambient audio. IP67-rated for all-weather outdoor installation. PoE-powered at max 2.8W per camera — extremely low draw on the NVR’s PoE budget.

NVR — 4-Channel & 8-Channel (NVR301-S3-P Series)

The NVR301-04S3-P4 and NVR301-08S3-P8 are compact 1U plug-and-play recorders from UNV’s Easy Series. Both share the same physical chassis (260×240×46mm), identical codec support, and the same core feature set — the only difference is channel count and PoE budget. Built-in PoE ports mean no external switch is required to power the cameras. Connect camera to NVR port, connect NVR to router, done. HDMI output reaches 4K (3840×2160) for display on any 4K monitor or TV. VGA and HDMI run simultaneously for dual-monitor setups. Up to 128 remote users can access the system concurrently via EZStation VMS or the mobile app.

Smart analytics are supported via connected UNV cameras: Face Detection, Smart Intrusion Prevention (cross line, intrusion, enter/leave area), and Ultra Motion Detection — reducing false alerts from environmental noise while still triggering on genuine human and vehicle activity. Up to 4 channels of smart analytics active simultaneously on these models.

NVR — 16-Channel (NVR302-16B-P16-IQ)

The NVR302-16B-P16-IQ is a significant step up from the 4/8-channel models. It supports 16 camera inputs across 16 dedicated PoE ports with a combined PoE budget of 240W — enough to power 16 cameras at full draw simultaneously. The Gigabit network interface (vs. 100M on the smaller NVRs) handles the higher data throughput from 16 concurrent camera streams without bottlenecking. Two SATA bays support up to 24TB each, allowing future HDD expansion without replacing the unit. AC power supply (100–240V) replaces the DC adapter found on the smaller models.

The IQ designation adds meaningfully more intelligence: Smart analytics run on all 16 channels simultaneously via connected UNV cameras, including Face Detection, Vehicle Detection with LPR, Smart Intrusion Prevention, Ultra Motion Detection, and Traffic Monitoring. The NVR also adds AcuSearch and AcuTrack for behavior-based forensic video search, plus People Counting Reports and Heat Map analysis. Alarm I/O (8-ch input, 2-ch output) and RS485 support external sensors and peripheral integration. Corridor mode screen layouts support up to 16-channel display.

HDD — WD Purple Surveillance Hard Drive

Every kit ships with a WD Purple hard drive pre-installed in the NVR. WD Purple drives are designed specifically for always-on surveillance recording — not desktop or laptop drives repurposed for video use. They support AllFrame technology to reduce frame loss under continuous high-write-cycle conditions, are rated for 24/7 operation, and are optimized for simultaneous multi-stream writing as required by multi-camera NVR systems. All kits ship with 1TB WD Purple HDD.

Remote Access and Software

All NVRs in this kit series support P2P remote access via UNV’s EZStation PC client and the EZView mobile app for iOS and Android. Setup takes minutes using QR code scan. Up to 128 simultaneous remote users. ONVIF Profile S, G, T compatibility allows integration with third-party VMS platforms including Milestone, Genetec, and others. Cloud upgrade keeps firmware current without manual USB flashing.

Ideal Applications

The 4-channel kit covers a single-family home, small retail storefront, or small office — four cameras covering front, back, two sides or key interior points. The 8-channel kit suits larger homes, small commercial properties, auto shops, and facilities where more coverage zones are needed without the overhead of a 16-channel system. The 16-channel kit with the NVR302-16B-P16-IQ is built for mid-size commercial deployments — warehouses, parking facilities, multi-tenant buildings, larger retail — where full perimeter coverage, alarm I/O, advanced analytics, and expandable dual-HDD storage are operational requirements, not optional upgrades.
